Swinburne Bhakti Yoga Club aims to help students understand ancient eastern wisdom of maintaining a perfect life in today’s chaotic urban world. Our session involves weekly free vegetarian food to highlight living in harmony with nature, relaxing music (called Kirtan) as well as wisdom talks focusing on various topics related to mind, body, and soul. The aims of the club are:
i. To impart principles of positive thinking, life values and the science of spirituality through the ancient eastern and contemporary wisdom
ii. To create an awareness about timeless spiritual principles that can be practically applied in the life of students to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their academic learning
iii. To conduct weekly interactive discussions to enhance creativity and imagination with the help of yoga and mantra meditation.
iv. To spread the importance of ‘vegetarianism’ for healthy and symbiotic lifestyle by distributing wholesome vegetarian food and teaching how to cook
v. To conduct interactive spiritual music (kirtan) sessions and demonstrate the healing potency of spiritual sound and how it helps in improving student life by providing relaxation and
vi. To arrange discourses of advanced spiritual practitioners thereby sharing the knowledge and philosophy of how to enhance the capacity of the mind.
