The Student Representative Council is Swinburne’s primary student representation and consultation body. Student are elected annually to a variety of positions including university boards and committees, and are responsible for discussing student issues, university policies, and representing the Swinburne student voice.
The SRC is made up of 35 elected student positions across the following areas:
University Council (1 representative)
Academic Senate (3 representatives)
Swinburne Student Life Board (4 representatives)
School of Business, Law and Entrepreneurship Student Consultative Committee (4 representatives)
School of Design and Architecture Student Consultative Committee (4 representatives)
School of Engineering Student Consultative Committee (4 representatives)
School of Health Sciences Student Consultative Committee (4 representatives)
School of Science, Computing and Engineering Technology Student Consultative Committee (4 representatives)
School of Social Sciences, Media, Film and Education Student Consultative Committee (4 representatives)
Vocational Education(3 representatives)
The SRC meets twice per semester, and School Consultative Committees also meet an additional two times per semester with staff from the relevant School.
