Yarra Bend Park is the largest area of natural bushland near the heart of Melbourne and is the home of the city’s famous bat colony. The park features steep river escarpments, open woodlands, playing fields and golf courses.

Event details

Yarra Bend Park is the largest area of natural bushland near the heart of Melbourne and we will be walking its loop. The 9.5 km walk takes around 2 hours to complete but is flat and suitable for all experience levels. 

We will meet at 11 am in Fairfield park (just next to airfield park drive), there is parking here, but it fills up quickly on weekends. the closest train station, Dennis, is also about 10 minutes from this point. Please remember to stay sun smart and bring food/water.
