PPIA Swinburne

Indonesian Student Association at the Swinburne University of Technology.
A club for Indonesians and non-Indonesians who are interested in Indonesian culture.

Who are we actually?

We are a group of Indonesian student volunteers that have dedicated our free time to running this student club with the simple goal of representing all Indonesian students currently, going to or have studied in Australia.

PPIA is an abbreviation of Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia Australia which directly translates to Indonesian Students Association (ISA) in Australia. PPIA Swinburne itself is a branch of that association that has embodied Indonesian students at the Swinburne University of Technology.

Our vision is to be the beacon of unity and empowerment for Indonesian Students in Australia, fostering solidarity and connections between our community and paving the way for the community to excel in their professional endeavours.

Our missions are

Strengthening Bonds: To create an inclusive community within our university, where they can build lasting friendships and support each other throughout their academic journey.

Professional Development: To offer career-focused events, in which provides the resources for our members in developing professional networks for a successful transition from academia to the workforce.

Cultural Engagement: To engage in the promotion of the Indonesian Cultures within Australia, fostering cultural understanding and appreciation through the involvement of Indonesian Cultures in the activities.

We provide and run a broad range of monthly events for our members such as gatherings, festivals, sports, and excursions. We also have a variety of special promotion options with our working partners.
