PPIA Swinburne

Indonesian Student Association at the Swinburne University of Technology.
A club for Indonesians and non-Indonesians who are interested in Indonesian culture.

Who are we actually?

We are a group of Indonesian student volunteers that have dedicated our free time to running this student club with the simple goal of representing all Indonesian students currently, going to or have studied in Australia.

PPIA is an abbreviation of Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia Australia which directly translates to Indonesian Students Association (ISA) in Australia. PPIA Swinburne itself is a branch of that association that has embodied Indonesian students at the Swinburne University of Technology.

Our vision is to cultivate a vibrant community where Indonesian students in Australia connect, share knowledge, celebrate culture, strengthening bonds and empowering each other to succeed both personally and professionally.

Our missions are

Creating a Home: To provide a supportive and inclusive space where Indonesian students can find a sense of belonging, fostering friendships and a strong community throughout their university life.

Sharing Culture: To promote Indonesian culture through vibrant activities, encouraging cultural exchange and understanding within the broader international community.

Expanding Reach: To collaborate with other student organizations and increase awareness of PPIA Swinburne, strengthening our presence on campus and beyond.

We provide and run a broad range of monthly events for our members such as gatherings, festivals, sports, and excursions. We also have a variety of special promotion options with our working partners.
