Women in Leadership
Open to the Women of Swinburne, the Women in Leadership seminar is a half day extensive workshop presented by Felicity Furey. Attending students will: • Gain self-knowledge and confidence in their abilities as a leader • See opportunities to step into leadership • Leave with identified opportunities in moving forward. All within the context of University, the transition to the workforce and pursuing success as an ambitious woman. This seminar is the chance to develop significant self-knowledge and learn from an expert with hard-won and valued experience. This is a free event open to any female student at the University.
Students will begin by finding their own value and ‘genius zone’ before learning how to communicate that through pitching themselves. An examination of positive leadership role models will form the basis of the later half at the seminar which focuses on next steps and leads students to formulate a plan for their own development. Felicity believes this will empower students to continue to grow after the seminar is over.
