Swinburne Punjabi Club

Swinburne Punjabi Club

No, this isn't just a club for Punjabi's, it is a platform for you to come make friends, indulge in the Punjabi culture and if you miss Holi, Diwali and other festivals that you celebrated with your family back home? This is your place to be!

The name Punjab means the “the land of five rivers”, and literally translates from Persian into the words Panj meaning five and Ab meaning water respectively. The rivers, tributaries of the Indus River are the Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej and Beas. The five rivers, now divided between India and Pakistan, merge to form Panjnad, which joins the Indus. Just like the way the five rivers join the Indus to form Panjnad, the members of this club are the five rivers coming together to form the Swinburne Punjabi Club. We consist of that five rivers to merge together to become one! This is only possible when you make it happen! The power is in your hands!

So what are you waiting for? Join the Swinburne Punjabi Club today and we will see you on campus very soon!
